Today marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, thousands of Canadians are affected by breast cancer including their families friends and loved ones. Did you know that in 2009, that 22,700 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer – that is 473 women diagnosed each week. In 2009, 5400 women and 50 men will die of breast cancer. However, there is a significant increase of survival rate for women since the mid 1980s because of women gaining knowledge about breast cancer and treating/screening early. If you can buy something that can help such cause, why don’t ya? Here are some the “pinkies” that support Breast Cancer Awareness 😉 You can also volunteer or donate to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
